I must be out of my mind

don't have time to sleep! anyway, i started it, i'm going to try to
maintain it. North, i know how you felt during you performance hiatus.

You'd be surprised. Having kept a prolific blog since early August, I've written coming up to 50,000 words. Before then, I didn't see the appeal and certainly didn't think I'd post as much as I do. It varies from essays to quick paragraphs, but I usually post daily, health and real-world business permitting.
Thus far, I've been surprised, given where I come from, not to have lots of right-wingers, hardline religious fundamentalists and general nutcases posting comments to my blog. I've had one, who actually apologised which was quite lovely and unexpected. For the most part, I'm pleased to find my blog attracting some intelligent, caring and regular readers and commentators. And they're not in any way of a similar mindset when it comes to spirituality or even politics per se; they do all seem to share an openness which I connect to strongly.
Most of my blog is based around my poetry and my spiritual beliefs. I find keeping it is a healing thing, it lets me get my inner doubts and thoughts out onto virtual paper, as it were, and in so doing I've come to look on my blog almost like an intimate friend - there's no judgement, and many times I've had wonderful, warm comments from people which really make my day when I get notifications of them in my inbox.
At the end of the day, these blogs can be whatever their authors want them to be. I've got some beautiful artwork blogs bookmarked; political blogs; blogs on philosophy and more besides. They are all far more interesting than the average biased newspaper.
Take care, my friend and use your blog as you feel drawn to do whenever you feel drawn to do it.
