i know some of you have no other way to contact me than this blog, so
i plan to have a random comments post often enough to keep one on the
current page. feel free to say absolutely anything you want here ...

    As long as anything goes, I'm frustrated. The more I sew, the more I think I am both better and worse at producing the garments that are the results of my passion. I just bought 2 different patterns so that I can attempt to create a prom dress designed by the person for whom it is being made. I am not satisfied with either. It looks as though I may have to try drafting some of my own peices and altering an altogether different pattern.
    Dispite the confidence several people I care for seem to have in me, this prospect scares me on several different levels. I have altered patterns since I began sewing, but I've not tried to make my own!

    Okay, I feel a little better for having vented. :)

    I am a seamstress and have been asked to create a prom dress for someone I know's sister. Most of the time, I thrive on my sewing, even when I am this insecure about it.
